American Jewish Congress
The International Mayors Conference.
City leaders from around the world meet in Israel at the intersection of innovation, technology, artificial intelligence, and global collaboration. Now preparing for its 35th edition, under the theme “Tech and AI: Empowering the Cities of Tomorrow.”
Convened by the American Jewish Congress in partnership with Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the American Council for World Jewry.

What it is.
The International Mayors Conference brings together mayors and senior municipal leaders for an immersive experience focused on the practical work of governing cities. Each gathering connects participants directly with leading technology companies, entrepreneurs, academics, policymakers, and innovators whose work is already reshaping how cities operate.
Sessions span transportation, public safety, healthcare, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and city governance. The aim is simple: practical ideas and partnerships that can be brought back to participating cities and improve the daily lives of their residents.
Why mayors visit Israel.
Israel sits at the leading edge of urban innovation: cybersecurity, water management, mobility, applied AI, health systems, and smart-city infrastructure. The Conference is built around site visits, working sessions, and one-on-one meetings with the people who build these systems. Mayors leave with concrete partnerships and a deeper understanding of how Israeli technology can be adapted to their own cities.
The Conference also serves as a forum for direct dialogue between Israeli officials and visiting mayors on shared challenges in governance, security, and economic development.
35th Edition
Tech and AI: Empowering the Cities of Tomorrow.
The next gathering builds on three decades of work, with a forward-looking program focused on artificial intelligence, municipal data, and the tools that will define how cities are run over the coming decade.
This is an exclusive, invitation-only conference. Participation is intentionally limited to foster meaningful exchange, substantive dialogue, and lasting relationships among peers.
Conference dates will be announced soon.
A legacy of leadership.
Over the years, the Conference has brought together city leaders from across the globe, including New York, Miami, Montreal, Monrovia, Buenos Aires, Kyiv, Addis Ababa, Taipei, and Prague. Alumni have gone on to serve as Presidents and Prime Ministers, including President William Lai of Taiwan, President Mauricio Macri of Argentina, Prime Minister Matteo Renzi of Italy, President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador, and President Nasry Asfura of Honduras.
