Below is Senator Britt’s voting record and public positions on issues important to the Jewish community.
In July 2023, Senator Britt joined colleagues in introducing a resolution that reaffirmed American support for Israel, emphasizing that Congress does not view Israel as a “racist state” and rejects all forms of antisemitism and xenophobia. This resolution was co-sponsored by a broad group of senators, showing bipartisan support for Israel.
In response to the attacks on Israel by Hamas in October 2023, Senator Britt issued a statement condemning the actions as “barbaric terrorist attacks” and emphasized that “Alabama and the United States stands with Israel – our greatest ally, friend, and partner.” She highlighted Israel’s right to defend itself and criticized the Biden Administration’s approach to Iran, suggesting that it had indirectly contributed to the escalation of violence.
Furthermore, during a visit to Israel with a bipartisan group of senators, Britt emphasized the importance of U.S.-Israel relations and America’s unequivocal support for Israel. She recounted the brutal experiences shared by families affected by the Hamas attacks and condemned the acts as “disgusting, despicable, and pure evil.” Britt also highlighted her belief in the coexistence of people of various faiths, while firmly stating that evil cannot coexist with good, labeling Hamas as “pure evil”.
